Last week, Olga and I ventured out to down town Willow Glen, for our second trip to
Petroglyph, a "ceramic lounge". We were there to pick up our glazed and finished pieces from our prior trip and decided to paint more things we don't need. What Petroglyph provides are an assortment of blank ceramic knick knacks you can purchase such as coffee mugs, piggy banks, picture frames, vases and more. Then after a sitting fee, you are open to brushes, sponges, stencils, and a wide arrange of paint glazes. Employees offer quick tutorials on different painting techniques such as sponging, bubbling, and masking, and the atmosphere is bright clean and comfortable. Aside from the jarring amount of Christmas music, it's a fun neat place to let your creative juices flow and make personal gifts. Once we were done, we gave a quick hello to a friend in Peet's, and got our greek grub on at Opa with huge Gyros and their addicting Opa fries.
